Fraser Island

An hour before we left there was a meeting and we got told that this was one of the most dangerous places to visit on earth and that you would be happy if you come back a life.
"So.....what was it again that you paid all these money to go to Fraser island???"
They showed us video's of accidents that had happened in the past with the 4wheel drive and told us the traps on the beaches were you could kill yourself. After that we toke of.....
We were with ten people in a 4wheel drive car and we had a great time bumping in to each other, because the roads are not what we are used to. The highway is just sand; it is actually the beach it self, haha, and sometimes you had to be careful that a landing plane wouldn’t hit you, so that was fun!
We saw some amazing places and beautiful Clearwater lakes. You couldn’t swim in the sea because of all the sharks and dangerous animals, but the lakes were just perfect (like in the commercials), such blue/green water was you can look trough and you could even drink the water that clean it was (if you don’t pi in it). You could see fishes swimming in the water and eagles flying over the water.
There were also creeks and you could go in there and float trough it to the sea, fun!
Our camping place was really nice, although the toilets were an other story (all these worms coming out of it, jak), you met the people whom were there for the first or the second night so it was a big group. At night we made ourselves some great dinner and had marshmallows at the campfire. The aboriginals came and danced for us and played their music (didgeridoo); it was great!
Even the dingo’s came and visit us in the night (the look so cute and the same as dogs, but they are wild and can attack you, so don’t pet them)
In the night we went with a whole group to the beach (such a beautiful star sky), but they went back and I didn’t have a torch, so I went with 2 others back in the dark; that was pretty scary (glad no snakes or no dingo’s attacked us)
On the way back we almost mist the ferry, because we still wanted to have a picnic at McKenzie Lake but we were just in time…whowo
In Hervey Bay we had a birthday party (and of course a party that we made it back a live, haha) and we stayed up the whole night. One of the guy’s made a funny speech about these bloody backpackers killing each other on Fraser island!!!! If we wouldn’t listen we would come back in a helicopter on not come back at all. (That was our meeting before we left)
