Hi There
Here a quick note to say I'm stil alive! When you travel time go's by so fast and you spend most of your time in busses: traveling to see the most of the country. I always find it great if you just go walking or with a bicycling trough the villages, then you make real contact with the people and get a good tast of a culture.
Dimitry went back to Ankor Watt in Cambodja to take some pictures again: so we have a few photo's back now.
After that we went to Vietnam:
First to Ho Chi Minh City where we visit the CuChi tunnels and the war museum. Again you see how useless a war is and how many people die from it. It's amazing what a human can do if it's a matter of died or life. The build a tunnel under ground that is 250 kilometers long; even to Cambodja!!!
Then we traveled to Dalat where we rended a motorbike and went into the mountains and saw the beautifull waterfalls and flowergardens. It was a beautifull countrysite with lost of beautifull natures. At one of the waterfalls we went down through the mountains amd jungle with a rollercoster: that was so much fun!
There that had also a lot of cabels with cabins to go up and down the mountains: just like on wintersport! It also felt like winter because it was so cold overthere that we had to get our warm clothes out and went looking for a warm restaurant at night to drink hot chocolet: so really if there would have been snow you would have thought you were in Austria or Switserland and go skieing, haha.
From Dalat we traveled to Nha Trang; the beach. We went on a boattrip to go to the islands. It was a pitty that it was cloudy and we couldn't go swimming, snorkeling and have a floating bar: that would have been so great. Instait we had a party on the boat with free food, fruit and wine. It was could we stopped at a island otherwise people would have fallen of with the wine in there heads and the boat moving haha. We even had a life band on the boat with great music. So we had fun.
We met some nice Autralian boy's and a boy from Finland with whom we had dinner with latter on in Hoi-An.
After Nha Trang we left to go to Hoi-An; here the make clothes. We din't want to buy anything, but who knows us knows it when we see some nice beautiful fitting clothes it's hard to stop us. So yes we made a lot of things and spend two day's going from shop to shop to fit our clothes on. I got a beautiful winterjacket, some tops, a suite and even shoes. I think they had to make 4 shoes for me before the fit, everytime they were to small, but in the end they were gorgieus; so 'm happy. We did have to by another big bag though, oepsie!! hard to go backpacking with so much baggage. I guess we have to send everything home.
Now we are in Hue and went on a tour to see the old city and the beautifull pagodes. It's really gorgieus here: mountains, tempels and a big river floating trough the city.
The people in Vietnam are also really friendly and nice. Although you see a lot of people who are handicaped there still so nice and don't want to ripp you of all the time.
Tonight we will go to Hanoi and from there to Halong Bay to go on a boattrip to the beautifull islands. From there we go Loas.
Here they celebrite newyear on the 17th of Februar. So to everybody again A HAPPY NEWYEAR!!!!
