When we arrived at the coast in Cherinting, there were lots of places we could stay at, because there were barely any tourist there, so we checked them all out and choose the nicest one; our private hut with a private beach.
We staid in a beautiful hut on the beach for two nights. It was an enormous beach but almost no one on it, so we almost had our private beach, which was great of course
Later in the afternoon the local people arrived and played some football, volleyball or went swimming or surfing. But now my mouth was standing open because they went swimming with there clothes on, yeah I am not kidding, they really swim with there clothes still on!!! (whaha)
In the morning you wake up and there is that gorgeous beach in front of your ‘house’, I went jogging early in the morning, it was wonderful; so peaceful and quite; the sun just coming up, you alone at the beach feeling the sand trough your toes and the water coming up and gentle hiding your legs, hmmm.
Although it was quite and nobody there, there we had, the first night a restaurant next to our hut were they played loud music at night and we had cockroaches, so not a very good night sleep.
We spend some days on the beach and just relaxed, met some people (most tourist are Dutch; does lucky basterds! ;)), looked in the little shops etc etc, just enjoying life!
There was a cultural centre, which we passed on our walk, were we got a Batik demonstration (really nice to see how they make that) and he made one we could take with us. I also made friends with an old man who owned a hut (little bar) on the beach and who thought me how to make a grasshopper from a palm tree leaf and he played a song for me with a real Malaysian flute (really special sound).
And again I had a buddy who protected me and lots of other dogs running around , the cats we gave krupuk and fish (so they were glad we were there).
