After the mountains: up to the busy city again. 12-08-06
We decided to drive on and go to Kuala Lumpur, so I could still spend some time with Sarah.
In Kuala Lumpur, as busy as always, we drove and drove, trying to find the hotel we were looking for, but a lot of times or the map wasn’t correct, or it was a one direction way, so we had to turn again. When we finally found the hotel (it looked like crap) they told us it was closed a long time ago (just a few years or so). So we toke of to find the next one, after a long time driving around trying to find the hotel we ask someone and we found out it was the hotel we were standing at but it changed name. But we weren’t lucky the hotel was full. So again we drove around trying to find a hotel, we saw a nice one so we went to ask for a hotel room, but no also this one was booked full, she called a few hotels for us, but all were booked. So we drove and drove, searching and searching, but no luck, we went to other places (because they have lots of different places, like china town, Indian town and Brickfield), Finally, after 4 hours driving in Kuala Lumpur we found a room in the YMCA in Brickfield, but we think they ripped us of (first they said they didn’t have a room and than they did)
The room was really bad and small and the bathroom was across the hallway, but we were glad we had an room, but than at night a lot of noise and a bright neon lamp strait in our face (so in the middle of the night I tried to break it, that didn’t work, so I started to find things that I could put in front of it, because you couldn’t hang something in front of it, than I found a pillow, some carts and a map to put in front of the window, but the window had broken so when I pushed the window almost felt downstairs, almost 3 high, oepsie, but at least it was a bit darker)
